Sometimes I branch out and get something different, but whenever I do I am secretly missing my traditional Lo Mein The tender veggies, bold, flavorful sauce, soft Lo Mein noodles - everything is just so perfect together. This easy homemade version of a classic Chinese takeout dish tastes much better than the takeout version, and it's healthier too. You can have Easy Veggie Lo Mein using 14 ingredients and 5 steps. Ingredients of Easy Veggie Lo Mein

  1. It's 8 oz. of lo mein egg noodles or spaghetti.
  2. Prepare 1 tbsp. of olive oil.
  3. You need 3 cloves of garlic, minced.
  4. Prepare 1 of bell pepper, julienned.
  5. You need 1 of carrot, julienned.
  6. It's 2 cups of cremini mushrooms, sliced.
  7. Prepare 1 cup of snow peas.

  11. You need 1 tsp. of sesame oil.
  12. You need 1/2 tsp. of ground ginger (or 1 tbsp. freshly grated).
  13. You need 1/2 tsp. of sriracha.
  14. Prepare of sesame seeds, for garnish.

Once pasta is cooked, drain as much water as possible from the noodles. Add the noodles to the veggies in the skillet, pour sauce over all and combine thoroughly. This Lo Mein recipe is made with egg noodles and a variety of vegetables. It's healthy, authentic and low in calories.

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, ginger and sriracha and set aside..
